Week 1 Game Of The Week
In one of the most electrifying matchups of Week 1, Georgia stormed back from a 20–6 halftime deficit to stun Ohio State 34–31 in an instant classic. It was a heavyweight bout two blue-blood programs trading blows and when the dust settled, Coach UDN Choc and the Bulldogs proved why Georgia remains the standard of college football.
But make no mistake Coach ItsHim Kalitre’s Buckeyes left a message for the league: this team is loaded, dangerous, and far from finished.
Final Score: Georgia 34 – Ohio State 31
🎙️ Postgame Q&A – Coach ItsHim Kalitre (Ohio State)
Reporter: Coach, your team came out firing in the first half with a 20–6 lead. What was working so well early on for the Buckeyes’ offense?
Coach Kalitre:Man, we came out with balance. Our run game opened up the pass, and once we had their defense guessing, we were able to attack the red zone consistently. The O-line was creating lanes, our receivers were getting separation it was the rhythm we wanted. We executed our script cleanly in that first half and really had them on their heels.
Reporter: The second half looked like a completely different game. What adjustments did Georgia make that gave your team trouble offensively?
Coach Kalitre:Honestly, I think it came down to execution on our side. Georgia’s front seven brought a little more pressure and disguised some coverages, but the real issue was us shooting ourselves in the foot. A couple of missed reads, a turnover — especially that pick-six — that’s the type of stuff that flips games at this level. Credit to Georgia; they capitalized when we didn’t.
Reporter: That pick-six in the 3rd quarter seemed to shift all the momentum. How do you keep your team composed after a play like that?
Coach Kalitre:You’ve gotta have short-term memory in football. I told my guys, “That play’s over. Next snap. Next drive.” But sometimes, momentum is a real thing. The crowd got loud, their sideline got hot, and it’s tough to swing that back in a high-stakes matchup. Still, I love how our guys kept fighting. We didn’t fold we just ran out of time.
Reporter: Despite the loss, this was a top-tier battle between two playoff-caliber teams. What’s your message to the locker room as you move forward into Week 2?
Coach Kalitre:We’re still the same Ohio State team championship DNA. One bad half doesn’t define us. I told the guys, “Hold your head up. Learn, correct, and reload.” We’ll watch the film, clean up the mistakes, and get back to playing Buckeye football. We’ll be ready next week — and we’re still coming for that title.

🎙️ Postgame Q&A – Coach UDN Choc (Georgia)
Reporter: Coach, what a comeback win down 20–6 at half and storming back to win 34–31. What was the key message to your team in that locker room at halftime?
Coach Choc:First off, shoutout to Coach Kalitre and Ohio State they came to play. But in that locker room, I reminded my guys exactly who we are. We’re the Georgia Bulldogs. The standard of college football. I told them, “You don’t quit. You fight. You eat. One play at a time.” It wasn’t about panic it was about pride. They took that to heart and handled business when it mattered most.
Reporter: That pick-six in the third quarter completely flipped the script. What did you see on that play, and how big was it for your defense’s confidence?
Coach Choc:Man, Everett made a dog play! I saw that ball come out, and when he snagged it, I took off down the sideline with him. When he got to me, I grabbed him and said, “That’s how you seize your moment, son!” And the rest of the team fed off that energy. That play didn’t just give us points it gave us belief. From that moment on, everyone knew it was our game to finish.
Reporter: Ryan Puglisi came in and played lights out, completing 87% of his passes. How would you describe his poise in this game?
Coach Choc:Ryan was calm, collected, and ready. Look, sometimes you gotta make the tough call even if it means pulling your starter. Nick Saban did it with Jalen and Tua, and I thought about that same situation. We felt the spark was needed, and Ryan delivered. That throw to Colbie Young? Man, that’s an NFL-level read he threw him open. The team rallied behind him, and from there, we caught fire.
Reporter: This was labeled as the Game of the Week, and your team delivered. How do you keep that same intensity heading into the rest of the season?
Coach Choc:Intensity isn’t something you turn on it’s our identity. We practice with that edge every day. These guys understand what’s at stake. Every week, it’s championship or bust. Whether we win big or win ugly, a win is a win. I’m proud to lead this group, proud to represent the great state of Georgia, and we’re gonna keep that Dawg energy rolling.
