With tomorrow, October 21st, being the 25th Anniversary of Rockstar’s Grand Theft Auto, it would be a gift to receive a trailer (or even an update) for GTA 6.
With a release date of 2025, we can only assume that it will be released exclusively on New Gen. Just yesterday Playstation announced the official price of its PS5 DualSense Edge Pro Controller ($199.99) set to release on January 26th, 2023. As Playstation sets to release new PS5 components and accessories, it's safe to say that Rockstar will take full advantage of promoting GTA 6 on the most up-to-date mediums. They’ll need all the help they can get after the backlash they faced for the underwhelming graphics and remastered imagery for Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy. GTA 6 has a huge budget, but they will stick to New Gen and lean on the newly updated quality.
Spectators are assuming that some sort of GTA 6 announcement or reveal is coming and fans are hoping it's a trailer. So what can we expect? In Rockstar Fashion you can bet to see an initial trailer, snippets (screenshots, artwork, etc.), the second trailer, then in a year we will see more trailers. This is Rockstar’s basic layout. We’ve seen this in the past (2011), and most recently for Red Dead Redemption II. Now, this is merely a hope and wish, so we’ll have to see what tomorrow will bring.
As far as Rockstar updates, later this week we can expect the Stealth UFO appearing in GTA Online, on October 29th GTA Vice City’s 20th Anniversary, then Take 2 Interactive (Rockstar’s Parent Company) has an earnings call on November 7th.
